Why let a pain in the posterior ruin your enjoyment of the music? Use one of our

Cushions for concerts!

Announcing our latest collection of Zazzle-produced organically-themed gifts. The Cushions for concerts (called "stadium cushions" by Zazzle) are practical for anyone who goes to organ concerts in churches. It can be torture to sit on a pew designed to make your back straight and remind you that wood is hard stuff - but after all, back in the day when sermons were two hours long something had to be done to keep the congregation awake. So here's the solution to your problems: a cushion!  It can all be customised so you can add your own words, change those already there, or remove them completely. Whatever you do - just get one - or preferably 2, one for your back as well. Or even 4, so you can offer a couple for companions! And gardeners: these would be kind to your knees while weeding. Two sizes are available, and at the moment there are 20 designs ready, but more coming all the time.
Check the collection here.

Even though you might find the perfect gift from our USA organ gift shop, posting the goods to say, Australia, or New Zealand is an eye-watering expense. The cost can be more than the cost of the item. Not often, but sometimes. One solution for NZ shoppers is to use the NZPost "YouShop" service. YouShop gives you delivery addresses in the UK (for shopping in Europe) and USA so you can get access to brands and variety that you couldn't get before.  Go to NZPost YouShop to get the details.
I'm trying it for the first time with my own cushions/kneelers order, so here's hoping it really IS a good solution to the problem of living at the bottom of the world. . .

Links from the Swellbox:

The selection this time is almost completely organ-free. (Feeling a bit organ'd-out. ) More promised for next time.

  • Poignant look at any extraordinary hobby for a retired couple
  • Vocal rendition of Elgar’s Nimrod - they make it sound so meltingly easy.
  • Eric Chien is a magician. Just how good? Watch this performance that earned his act "The World's Best Magic Trick"
  • If you can't come to New Zealand to visit us, you could vicariously (and more cheaply)  enjoy it by watching some of these exquisite drone videos. Conversely for those of us huddled together on these islands at the bottom of the world, you can also watch videos of Europe, America, or almost anything that has been shot by a drone, is here. Happy exploring - but for some videos you will need to subscribe to Airvuz (it's free)
  • Of course, I have been pressured by those furry freaks of ours to include one of the latest "Simon's Cat" videos. The one they enjoy the most is called "Off to the Vet" . Kate has watched it 4 times in the writing of this newsletter, and comes running when she hears the music. (See picture below)
Before I go, I have a challenge for the organ composers on our mailing list: how about writing an organ piece based on the Simon's Cat theme music? Hehehehehehehe
