Live shows give us life

We've got a whole lot of opportunities to get together in real life this fall, so here's a quick overview and update on a bunch of opportunities.

Speaking Municipally

Speaking Municipally, Taproot's weekly podcast on civic affairs in Edmonton, is recording a live show on Politics & Tech during Startup Week.

Hosts Mack Male and Troy Pavlek are lining up a couple of political guests to discuss how involved City Hall should be in the innovation sector, what government can do to help tech startups succeed, and how entrepreneurs can best engage with politicians.

The show is on Oct. 24 at 3 pm at Startup Edmonton. Come listen, cheer or heckle (gently). It's free, and it will be fun.

2 and Out Live tickets are sold out... or are they?

Last week, we told you about the 2 and Out CFL Podcast's live show during Grey Cup at Booker's BBQ and Crab Shack in Calgary. As of this writing, we have sold out of our initial run of tickets, which is... amazing.

We've talked our hosts at Booker's BBQ and Crab Shack into letting us squeeze a few more people in, so we'll be releasing more tickets today (Sept. 27) at 2 p.m.

Admission includes your first drink and a donation to CFL Fans Fight Cancer. The podcast recording will be followed by a brisket-eating contest emceed by Ryan Sanderson of Eat More Barbecue, and you'll be in a room with a whole lot of passionate football fans of all stripes. Don't delay, or you might miss out.
