FallX19 & Adaptive Gaming

IndependenceFirst will talk inclusive gaming & adaptive tech

The Fall Experiment is "an immersive tech, art, gaming and music festival that convenes creators from all over the Greater Midwest." It will be held in Milwaukee on October 4 and 5 at the Wisconsin Center, and IndependenceFirst is excited to be part of the event to highlight inclusion and accessibility through Adaptive Gaming.

Super Smash Bros. Nonprofit Invitational
Saturday, October 5, 1-3 p.m., at the Wisconsin Center, 400 W. Wisconsin Ave. in Milwaukee
Come cheer on our team as we face off against Teens Grow Greens and Islands of Brilliance. We will be using Adaptive Gaming controllers and making them available to others in the tournament who may need them.

IndependenceFirst's Adaptive Gaming program brings together people with and without disabilities to have fun in a safe, inclusive setting. Available adaptive controllers can empower people with disabilities to participate in all of the gaming fun that they are often excluded from if a traditional controller won't work for them.

Guest Speaker LeRoy Butler was born severely pigeon-toed and spent much of his early youth in a wheelchair. Doctors predicted that he would be lucky to ever walk unassisted.
