Mental Health and Well Being, a Foundation of Student Success
With 1 in 5 children and youth dealing with Mental Health and Well Being challenges, students need help now.
Teaching Awareness through Puppetry has a new workshop designed to teach students about their Mental Health and how to get help when they need it. Our workshops have been developed in partnership with mental health professionals at Skylark Children, Youth and Family Services. This program is an effective learning tool that helps children better understand the language of emotions and mental health.
We teach them strategies to equip them now and in the future to support their Mental Health and Well Being.
Come along on our journey with Dog, Moose, Squirrel, Polar Bear and Beaver! You will be surprised what you will learn!
TAP helps deliver your learning objectives
All of our workshops are designed to promote healthy, effective conversations about inclusion and acceptance. TAP's workshops are connected to the Ontario curriculum and support Character Development Traits and Character Virtues. We facilitate and discuss issues about diversity, inclusion and mental well-being using inquiry based learning. TAP is an approved partner with the Toronto District School Board and all our puppeteers have VSS clearance.
