To The Root Tuesdays!

Our October Workshop Series

We're super excited to be offering our long-standing fall workshop series. To The Root, in a new format this year. Every Tuesday throughout October, we will be sponsoring the events above at locations both on campus and in the community. Each element addresses food security, food justice or food sovereignty in a range of exciting and educational ways. Join us throughout October for To The Root Tuesdays!

Solidarity Servings

The Loaded Ladle regularly partners with community organizations, collectives and others to offer food in solidarity with their community-based activities and  the events they sponsor throughout the year. We also collaborate with groups like the Alton Gas Resistance and Out Of the Cold Shelter to prepare food in our kitchen for distribution to others working for social justice and social change in our communities. If you have an idea or a need for a Solidarity Serving, please contact us at workshops.solidarity@gmail.com

Monday Food Servings at Radstorm

Handing out free food to nurture resilience against the far right! Servings on Mondays 6pm at Radstorm, 2177 Gottingen Street, Halifax! Send us a message to get involved.

Each Monday, FAF hosts a community meal and an information session/discussion about why fascism is on the rise world wide, what organizations are trying to organize in our city, and why proactive community-based antifascism is necessary to stop its creep. Held at Radstorm (2177 Gottingen) every Monday around 7pm.

"The People's Fridge" now resides at Radstorm (2177 Gottingen). Stocked at least weekly with the surplus of capitalist food waste, The People's Fridge contents are available to anyone for free. Open Sundays, 2-6; Wednesdays, 12-7 and other times when Radstorm is hosting events or when members are present.  The People's Photocopier (low cost community access copier) is also located at Radstorm.
