On the afternoon of Nov. 6, the University of Montevallo and the UM Police Department will hold a lockdown drill in a building on the UM campus.

The drill will provide a valuable opportunity for the UM community to practice and evaluate its emergency response and notification procedures in order to be better prepared in the case of an actual emergency.

During the drill, the University will test its UMAlert system, and all notifications related to the lockdown drill will be clearly identified as tests.
