Dear <<First Name>>,

Today, 55,000 members of CUPE in Ontario working in schools and board offices across the province began legal job action to secure public education services.

Your fellow CUPE members are the backbone of our schools. They have been on the front line, fighting the Ford Conservatives’ cuts to education which have resulted in lost services for students and lost jobs in our communities.

CUPE education workers' job action begins with work-to-rule. Our members are prepared to escalate if a fair collective agreement that protects services and jobs cannot be negotiated.

We offer our solidarity, not only as their fellow CUPE members, but as parents, students and community members who are opposed to the Ford Conservatives’ cuts to education. And we can take action to show that opposition to cuts and our solidarity with education workers.

Join student, parents, and education workers organizing walk-ins at school across Ontario on the morning of October 10th.

Find more information here about walk-ins already planned in your communities and a tool-kit to organize a walk-in at your local school if one is not already planned.

Send a message to the Premier and Education Minister to say you support CUPE education workers and their job action against the cuts.

Post on social media, wear purple on Wednesdays to show support for #powerofpubliceducation, or just express solidarity, in person, to your child's education workers. The support of other CUPE members in Ontario is both appreciated and crucial.
