Join Buffalo Bayou Partnership on October 26 as we kick-off the Buffalo Bayou East Master Plan with a waterfront party! We will be celebrating a vision for Buffalo Bayou East that includes parks, trails and unique destinations.

More about the Master Plan

After developing Buffalo Bayou Park and other award-winning green space projects in the downtown area, BBP has produced a master plan for the bayou’s east sector that encompasses the area from US 59 to the Port of Houston Turning Basin. Based on input received at well-attended community engagement meetings and other outreach events, the Buffalo Bayou East Master Plan includes parks and diverse attractions along the bayou that will be connected to each other and the surrounding neighborhoods by a network of trails, sidewalks and pedestrian green fingers.

In the coming months, BBP is hosting free pontoon boat tours, wellness walks and bike rides through the area. Come out to “Explore East” and view the sites included in the master plan! View the complete schedule here.

KBR Kids Day 2019

Saturday, October 12 from 11am-3pm

KBR Kids Day is one of Buffalo Bayou Partnership’s signature events, with thousands of children and their families attending each year. Join us on October 12 for free family fun at Guadalupe Plaza Park. Booths will include hands-on activities from over 20 partners, local entertainment and performers, Dia de los Muertos face painters, balloon artists, a rock climbing wall, and so much more! Halloween costumes are encouraged!

Make plans to join us for the 2019 Buffalo Bayou Partnership Gala, Moonscape. It will be a magical evening, dining under a luminous tent on the beautiful lawn at The Water Works in Buffalo Bayou Park. To commemorate the 50^th anniversary of the historic Apollo 11 moon landing, this year’s gala will highlight the signature Lunar Cycle Lighting along Buffalo Bayou.
