Newcastle’s Timeless Textiles Gallery is launchingTimeless TexStyle Tribe  Spring Launch and Fashion Show at 4pm, Saturday Nov 9th 2019 at the Men's exercise yard at The Lock Up. We will celebrate the birth of this women’s textile community initiative by showcasing the unique creations of TTT artists. 
 
We are inclusive... and  we encourage all women to express themselves through their own unique styling. 
 
Come along to the launch of TTT to find out more, as we celebrate the creation of our growing collective. You will develop your own style through workshops guided by women textile artists and members. 
 
TTT also seeks to match creativity with sustainability. We will offer upcycling and recycling workshops and events, and textile and wearable swap days. Reduce the waste and pollution that plague the textile industry. Workshops may feature surface decoration, value-adding, repurposing, re-designing, adding pockets (a common complaint about women’s fashion), as well as particular projects or techniques.
 
The 13 participating artists include well-known fibre artists: Sylvia Watt, Pearl Moon, Gina Mastio, Barbara Rogers, Susan Doherty, Lessa Colgan, and Pam De Groot. Local designers are also included – High Tea with Mrs Woo. Gina Ermer, Svetlana Kchevetskaia and Nashe Jewellery. Charity Sharit (Africa) and HannyD designs (Canberra) are also showing their wearable art.

Local floral artist Carolyn Collison will have installed incredible displaybyflowers. 
 
All workshops will commence next year ..so keep your eye on the website.

Have a glass of champagne and be entertained at the launch with  local well-loved contemporary dance artist Skip Willcox.
