The Dolphin Dreams Direct Drive is the BIGGEST and most IMPORTANT Lawton fundraising event of the year! Instead of asking parents to sell candy bars to raise funds, we ask families for a simple, direct donation to the Lawton PTA. Nice and simple, right?!

"Where Does The Money Go?"

The Dolphin Dreams Direct Drive funding goes directly to:
- School Counselor
- Academic Interventionist (reading/math specialist)
- Teacher Requests
- Enrichment Activities
- Technology Licenses
- Librarian and Library Services
- Field Trips
- STEAM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics)
- Art Docent Program
- Playground and Recess Monitors
- And much, much more!

"How much am I being asked to donate, and why?"
|
|
Based on our current student enrollment, and on the financial request from administrators and teachers, $463 per student covers your child's expenses for this current academic school year. We understand that not every family is able to give at that level, so please consider donating at the level in which you feel most comfortable. If you work in conjunction with any of the following companies, consider requesting a contribution match. Many of these companies match dollar-for-dollar or even more than that!
We ask for 100% family participation in order to meet our yearly goal of $120,000.

The second option is the almighty pledge card! Today, your child will come home with this beautifully created Dolphin Dreams Direct Drive pledge card designed by Lawton's very own Akiko Baron (mom to Koji and Yumi). Thanks, Akiko!
- Fill out the pledge card entirely entirely! Include your child's first and last name.
- Make sure to fill out the last name of your student's teacher so that your student receives classroom participation credit!
- Write a check made out to Lawton Elementary PTA.
- Bring it to school, and drop it off in the PTA Dropbox (pictured below). As you walk through school's front doors, the dropbox is right next to the staff lounge. A pledge card is taped to the dropbox so you can't miss it!
- Even if you choose not to donate, do not forget to turn in this card or to go online to participate so that your student's classroom earns an extra recess!

Lawton PTA is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization, so 100% of your donation is tax deductible, and 100% of your donation goes directly to the PTA budget.

- FOR THE FAMILY: This week, donate on or before Friday, October 4th, and be eligible to win deluxe gift baskets arranged by Metropolitan Market and New Seasons! The earlier you participate in the Dolphin Dream Direct Drive, the more opportunities you will have to win the raffle prizes each week.
- FOR THE KIDS: Dr. Deno is offering an EXTRA RECESS for each of the classrooms who meet the 100% participation goal. Yay, recess! Your student will thank you!
- FOR ALL OF LAWTON: The joy in knowing your donation and participation supports ALL teachers and students at Lawton!
