Autumn energy

Forward

The colours of the autumn season always give me a boost of positive energy. I started off with a great interview and there were traditionally numerous fairs held this time of year. I participated at the Evolution Fair in Amsterdam. A couple of my newest designs were shown at the Show Up Trade Show in Vijfhuizen and De Woonindustrie in Nieuwegein. I visited the Maison & Objet fair in Paris, and coming week I will be present at the VT Wonen & Design Fair in Amsterdam.

This week I will support the organization of the VT Wonen & Design Fair as a stylist to guide their visitors and inspire them with new ideas. Not only B-to-B oriented trade fair visits are a way to keep you informed about what's going on, also consumer exhibitions can be very informative for you.

New designs presented

My newest tapestry design entitled 'Timber', was presented by Urban Cotton at several trade fairs such as the Show Up event and is for sale now. For this clear and graphic design I looked closely to complicated structures of wooden floors and scrap wood. I tried to stylize the wood grain in a not too literally way, using different colours, contrast and weathered effects. The tapestry is printed on beautiful organic cotton.
