This week saw Micki Aston judge our first PDI Competition of the season. It was great to see so many new members entering the competition.

IMPORTANT: League Table Information for New Members

In the competition handbook it states that "Members are split into two classes depending on their previous photographic standard.... New Members are usually classed as Intermediate unless they have external recognition for their work e.g. PAGB awards or RPS Distinctions, or if they were previously an advanced member of another camera club."

This season we have a number of new members from other camera clubs, so they have been put into either the Advanced Class or Intermediate Class based on their photographic experience. 

We have also introduced a Beginners Class for members who are new to entering camera club competitions (but may have been a club member either at Croxley or another club for some time). They will then progress to the Intermediate Class after their first season of competitions automatically.

If you have been placed in the Beginners League, but have significant photographic expertise then please let the committee know so that you can go into the Intermediate or Advanced Class instead.
