🥑 Ruby Lane Heads To Darby Street
The chicest, slickest organic health food restaurant in Manly (which in itself is saying something!) is expanding further north! That’s right — Ruby Lane Wholefoods has sights set on a new restaurant, and while they’re keeping tight-lipped about specifics, we have on good authority that Mona Vale Beach should begin brunch preparations. Expect the same, gorgeous local wholefood, the same roasted-to-perfection coffee, and maybe even some sprawling ocean views to boot!

👟 Run Wild
Now that the weather has cleared, and daylight savings lays in waiting ’round the corner, why don’t you check out some of our favourite Sydney running routes? Whether you’re northside, south of the city, or after an East Coast cruise, we have some of the most iconic—as well as some lesser known—running suggestions. Oh, and if all those KMs leave you with a rumbling stomach, we’d suggest planning a post-meal brunch with your running buddies at one of our top AM health food destinations. You’ve earned it!

😎 Get Dirty(ish)
Ovolo Woolloomooloo’s Alibi restaurant is THE destination for clean, vegan treats. Now, with unveiling of tempting new menu ‘Dirty Greens’, head chef Jordan Brogan is exploring the more decadent, creative side of vegan cuisine. Gastronomy has come a long way since lentil patties and stuffed mushroom substitutes, such that “meat” and “cheese” options are becoming the norm on vegan menus. And what better way to celebrate than with fried chicken, mac ’n’ cheese croquettes, and the colourfully inventive Alibi Dog (with a Beyond Meat sausage). It’s your chance to walk a little on the wild side — without leaving that healthy lifestyle too far behind.

Hello Koalas Sculpture Trail
A cute, kitsch addition to the Royal Botanic Garden is officially opening this Friday evening! If you haven’t had the chance to explore the Hello Koalas permanent installation up in Port Macquarie, this is the perfect opportunity to experience a taster of the exhibit — in the heart of the CBD. Take the whole family down for the garden-wide treasure hunt, where you’ll cross paths with 20 one-metre koala sculptures, including five brand new additions! It’s the perfect blend of creative, outdoorsy, and true blue Australian.

The Octoberfest Beer Run
If you’re more serious about beer than running, this 5k “run” is actually a brewery crawl in disguise. Don’t expect to finish this one quickly; you’ll enjoy five pints at various Inner West breweries along the way. Exercise disguised as a booze-up? We guarantee you’ll be able to sell even your most fitness-adverse buddies on that!
