Do you work with official statistics on homelessness and rough sleeping?

The GSS Harmonisation team have developed a new interactive tool to help users compare official statistics on homelessness and rough sleeping across the UK. We developed this tool following recommendations from our feasibility report.

The tool provides guidance on:
  • comparisons between statistics
  • the process a person may go through when seeking support for housing in each UK country
  • the collection process for each country’s statistics
Feedback from users will guide future development and improvements to this Beta version. If you have any feedback, please contact us at gsshelp@statistics.gov.uk.

Blogs

The GSS Georgaphy Champions Network

The GSS Geography Champions Network met at the National Audit Office on 18 September. This session covered:
  • developing new guidance and training
  • which add-ons to use for ArcGIS
  • country classifications, and
  • address matching.
The aim of the network is to enable knowledge sharing and promote innovation. The network also provides ongoing support for the Geography Policy.

The Network meets quarterly and we aim to have a representative from every Government department. If you work with geography statistics please speak to your champion about any challenges or queries.

If you have any questions about the network or are interested in becoming the champion for your department, please get in touch with Claire Pini.
