Dear Friend,

Last month, you told us what you wanted to hear about in your regular newsletter. Today, we're delighted to welcome you to your new look newsletter, A Taste of Trussell

Every month, you'll find updates on the latest policy and campaigning announcements, inspiring stories from food banks in our network, and info on how you can help us end the need for food banks in the UK. We hope you enjoy A Taste of Trussell as much as we've enjoyed putting it together.

Best wishes,

The Trussell Trust Team

Campaigns: #5WeeksTooLong

In September, we released a new report on the impact of the five week wait, revealing that the longer Universal Credit exists in an area, the higher food bank use is.

Sign up for #5WeeksTooLong now to help and check out our latest policy report on Universal Credit for more information.

Our network: Humbled by the generousity of communities

In Sheffield, 10 year old Fraser raised over £1,000 for his local food bank with an amazing 30 mile bike ride. Hear more here.

In Chesterfield, a local salon raised money with haircuts and a raffle for the Clay Cross Foodbank. Find out more.

And in Lincoln, the audience for a production of Oliver! donated a massive 587kg of food over two nights - that's over 3,500 meals.
More details here.

Foodie Fundraiser

Enjoy a meal with your family or friends and support the Trussell Trust with a Foodie Fundraiser this autumn. Whether you host a brunch buffet or a pizza party, you can cook up a storm and help end the need for food banks in the UK.

So grab your wooden spoon, dust off your apron, preheat the oven - and get cooking! Register for a fundraising pack and join #TeamTrussell on social media to share your event.

Support your local food bank

One of the most important ways you can help in the run up to Christmas is by continuing to donate to your local food bank. Contact your nearest food bank to find out what they need now to support people in crisis.
