Downtown Winter Shopping Bag Design Contest
CALLING ALL ARTISTS! For the first time, we are opening the design of our annual winter shopping bag to the public. Alleyway Activation Open House

Kalamazoo Walking Audits

The Kalamazoo Street Design Project continues - the City of Kalamazoo is asking the community to complete a walking audit, assessing the safety, accessibility, appearance, and connectivity of a route on a scale of 1 to 5. Input from these walking audits will be used during the hands on streets design workshop on Wednesday, October 23 which will be held at 6:30 p.m. at The Foundry (600 E Michigan Ave.). Click here for more route information and guided walking audit dates.

Kalamazoo Holiday Parade
2019 Kalamazoo Holiday Parade registration open for one more week! We are looking for organizations and businesses to bring holiday cheer to this year’s parade on November 16. Register here by October 1, 2019.
Upcoming Events
SkeleTour | October 5, 2019 | Bates Alley
Downtown is getting a little spooky, and a lot silly!

This October, downtown streets will be adorned with specially-crafted, one-of-a-kind skeletons for the first SkeleTour Downtown Kalamazoo! From wild and wacky, to spooky and eerie, these life-sized skeletons reflect local businesses and organizations unique to Kalamazoo.

SkeleTour begins Saturday, October 5, with a kick off party on Bates Alley, 4 - 8pm! Bates Alley will be lined with kids activities, live music, and a professional pumpkin carving demonstration. Afterward, make sure to walk, or take the Trolley of Terror, around downtown to enjoy the wide variety of skeletons and even a Skeleton Bar Crawl. Check out the details at DowntownKalamazoo.org
