Fall News
Where did summer go? I can't believe it's the start of Fall.  I guess that’s what happens when you’re busy creating and showing up for magical moments! The photo above was taken at the East Hampton Library Children's Fair. I had a great time connecting with other authors and meeting fans.

Here are a few more summer highlights

As an Award Winning Author, I had the opportunity to staff the Latino Literacy Booth at the American Library Association (ALA) Convention in DC.

Create Your Own Magical Moments
While at the Convention, I attended the "Change the Voice, Change the Narrative" panel happening on the Chapter One Stage. When the panelists mentioned they didn't have a moderator, I offered to help. It was a fascinating discussion on the need for diverse books celebrating multicultural communities and giving voice to their stories. And that my friends is how you create your own magical moments!

July took me to Detroit  for the NAACP Convention Author Pavilion. I was even inspired  to start my next book. So excited, the 2020 convention will be in my hometown BOSTON!!!

So much fun living out a scene from "The Magical Day"
When a young fan talked about wanting to become a graffiti artist after reading " The Magical Day", I showed up over the summer to fingerpaint with her family and recreate the scene from the book.
Creating Magical Moments & Memories.

New Book

The Magical Day Activity Book
This magical fun-filled book is jam-packed with coloring pages and activities (crossword, word search, and much more). The puzzles and games are ideal for kids ages 5-9. It is a perfect complement for the
award-winning book
“The Magical Day.

School Visits

I love to visit schools and share with students the joys of reading and writing. My children’s books complement the Common Core Social Studies Curriculum. The books also touch on important skills and ideas students and teachers can carry back to the classroom.

Mentor Magic

I’m a rule breaker and I've been doing book mentoring one way. I want to ramp up your results so why not break the rules with book mentoring? You need help with your book and I have a solution. Connect with me sandra@sandraelainescott.com
to find out more.

Furry Friend Farewell

On a personal note, I said goodbye to my beautiful muse and inspiration, Smoochie, over the summer. He was a faithful companion and truly a pampered feline.
He's now prancing in fields of butterflies and chatting with Angels.
May he rest in peace!
