GALLERY CRAWL + WORLD SQUARE

This Friday, September 27 from 5:30 - 10:00 p.m., experience a night of free art, music, entertainment, and culture as the fall Gallery Crawl kicks off a season of new works and shows in Downtown's Cultural District.

Dozens of galleries, stages, storefronts, and unique public spaces dot each installment’s 14-block map of destinations, hosting US premieres of international multimedia artists, regional visual art exhibitions, live music, theater and dance performances, film screenings, hands-on creative activities, and special crawl after dark attractions.

Some things not to miss:
- Los Trompos: this popular installation from the Three Rivers Arts Festival is popping-up in Trust Oasis, a new outdoor park
- Art in the Alley - Community Canvas: get hands-on and participate in a community painting of three murals
- Liberty Magic: experience magic close up with sleight of hand performances
- World Square: shop and taste from cultures around the world in Market Square

THE GREAT RACE
Lace-up your running shoes, because the 42nd running of the Great Race is this weekend!

Sunday, September 29, hundreds of racers will be hitting the streets of Pittsburgh for the 2019 Great Race. Get in the spirit and stop by the Great Race Expo at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center Friday and Saturday, September 27 and 28, for product sampling, demos, health screenings, and more.

Sunday's 10K course will begin in Frick Park at Beechwood Boulevard, and the 5K will start at Fifth Avenue and Atwood Street in Oakland before finishing in Downtown.

Road closures on September 29 will begin around 6:30 a.m. and conclude around 11:00 a.m. For more information on road closures that will be in effect, or to learn more about the event, click here.
