It's National Voter Registration Day!

The 2020 election will be here before you know it. But did you know there are local elections and Presidential Preference Election happening way before November 3rd, 2020?

This National Voter Registration Day we're encouraging everyone to get out there and register to vote or update your voter registration. In Arizona, it is quick, easy, and you can do it online at Service Arizona.

How are you celebrating National Voter Registration Day? Let us know on Twitter by using the hashtag #VoteReady and tag us @PAFCOArizona.

Public Charge
On October 15th new rules will go into effect regarding "public charge." "Public Charge" is a test U.S. immigration uses to decide if a person can get a visa or green card. The new rule expands what benefits immigration officials will consider during this "test."

There has been a lot of misinformation about what this means and what public benefits will be impacted. Thanks to the work of many organizations, we can share with you a factsheet which provides more information about public charge and which programs will be considered.

What's Next?
We're gearing up for what is going to be a long and busy 2020. We expect a robust discussion around funding at the Arizona Legislature this session and will be working hard to support our PAFCO priorities and increase funding for health and human services. PAFCO is committed to working towards a fair and just culture that supports our communities and builds a better Arizona for all. However, we cannot do it alone. Help support our work as we march forward to next year, by donating to PAFCO today.
