Countering Greta's rant
and the UN's chicanery

Friend,

The UN's "climate week" in New York has been marked by uncommon candor.

For that we should be grateful.

Global warming campaigners are increasingly abandoning their environmental pretenses, and blatantly pressing their demands for redistribution and control.  Forewarned is forearmed.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres of Portugal, kicked it all of with an outrageous snub. He decided to exclude leading nations such as the United States, Japan, Australia and South Africa from taking the stage during the climate sessions, for not sufficiently following the UN party line.  Massive polluters such as China and India continue to be welcome.  It doesn't seem to count for anything that the U.S. is number one in emissions reductions (if that's your thing), while China now emits more CO2 than the E.U. and U.S. combined.  It would be interesting to have seen how Guterres would have responded had President Trump demanded to be heard.  The U.S. does, after all, pay well more than our fair UN share.

The star of this week's climate show is Sweden's Greta Thunberg.  Yesterday the tormented teen launched into a harsh, yet revealing rant.  “People are dying."  Greta intoned, "Entire ecosystems are collapsing. We are in the beginning of a mass extinction, and all you can talk about are fairytales of eternal economic growth. How dare you!  ...if you choose to fail us, I say: We will never forgive you.  We will not let you get away with this. Right here, right now is where we draw the line. The world is waking up. And change is coming, whether you like it or not."

Individual freedom and due process are no more than inconvenient obstacles to Greta's speech writers, we will be forced to comply, they assure us, whether we "like it or not."  Greta's demands include "equity and climate justice," which are basically code words for as CFACT warned, redistribution and control.

Greta remains naively unaware that the human condition, and that of children in particular, has never been healthier or more secure, than it is at this very moment.

CFACT is taking none of this lying down.  I hope you saw over the weekend the banner that CFACT unfurled on the water outside the UN building urging the world to "Keep UN control out of our climate."

A study recently declared CFACT and our Marc Morano to be the world's top climate communicators.  Marc shifted his skills into overdrive in NYC.  Climate Depot is the go-to news and information site covering the UN's climate week. You can catch Marc in action in Newsweek, Fox and Friends, Hannity, Vogue, KTRH Radio, Rebel Media, and more each day.

"It is sad. They had a die-in for the kids," Marc explained, "Greta Thunberg, went to the White House. They had kids lying down at the White House Gates 11 minutes to symbolize 11 years the planet is death. Unless government saves it to legislate storms and weather. That is really dark day for the movement when they turn to kids like this as human shields."

Another major development yesterday was the filing of a lawsuit under the "UN Convention on the Rights of the Child" by Hausfeld, an international law firm.  Who's paying Hausfeld?  The suit lists Greta and 15 other young people as named plaintiffs.  It targets five nations Argentina, Brazil, France, Germany, and Turkey and seeks to force them to increase their emissions reductions and climate spending.  The U.S. is not a party to the convention.  The Clinton Administration signed the convention, but did not submit it to the Senate for ratification, nor has any president since.

This kind of lawsuit is calculated as a means to bypass individual rights and the democratic process of nations under their own laws, and international law as well.  This is a disturbing trend that needs to be exposed and stopped.

Yesterday CFACT shared a witty parody of all this on Facebook.  "Marionette Strings Clearly Visible During Greta Thunberg Testimony" the headline reads.  This sums up what we're seeing perfectly.

We are living in a dangerous time where fact is as bizarre as parody.

As CFACT engaged with climate marchers in New York, we were struck by the fact that there were far fewer children than advertised, and most we saw were disengaged.  Surrounding them were large numbers of radical left-wing  adults.  We were not aware that New York harbored so many pathetic aging bolsheviks.  Bernie Sanders is not alone.

Individual freedom is the natural right of every person on Earth.  It is also the most efficient way to organize society and maximize the well-being of people and our planet.

Freedom is actively under assault.  We mean to fight for it.

For nature and people too,

Craig Rucker
President

P.S.  CFACT has been working nonstop to expose the radical agenda lurking behind UN climate week and to counter the hype with facts.  Thank you to everyone who gave so generously to make our work possible.  There's more to do.  Will you make an urgently needed gift right now?
