Here's festival Director John Tomkins talking about everything that's going on...
"My warmest welcome to the 2019 English Riviera Film Festival, which, thanks to your support, has become one of the South West’s major film festivals. In this, our milestone fifth year, we have doubled the amount of films being shown and expanded the award categories to better reflect the wealth and diversity of talent involved. You’ll have the chance to meet some of those talented individuals, with exhibitor representation from film companies across the South West and the presence of Directors, Producers, cast and crew from many of this year’s nominated films. We’ll also be hosting the South West premiere of Snowgum Films’ much anticipated film adaptation of Terry Pratchett's Troll Bridge.
The Festival is a collaborative venture and I feel fortunate to be in the position to thank our partner organisations Artizan Gallery, Blue Walnut Cafe Bar & Cinema, Torre Abbey, Torquay Museum for their continued participation, and for hosting what promises to be some memorable film related events during Festival week. We feel both honoured and grateful to be holding the awards day at South Devon College’s incredible new facility for film and media, the Hi Tech and Digital Centre."

Ro and Blow-Jo - Feature Film
Ro and Blow-Jo is a modern day re-relling of William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, brought to you by The Marvellously Modern Film & Theatre Company. Have a read of this interview founder Rachel Link gave to D&C Film.
The film is screening at 1pm & 3pm on October 12th at Exeter Phoenix.
