We bring you the most important updates on current activities and information from Centre for Digital Life in September.

Out of the Lab and into the Mountains

17 DLN researchers and staff took the scientific discussions out of the labs and offices and into the mighty Jotunheimen. Read about their recent walkshop: "Four days, 50 km and a question - what is of value?"

Digital Life 2019 in Tromsø

Over 80 DLN researchers and staff gathered for the third time in the Centre's history, at the Digital Life Conference. Read a summery or just revisit some good moments in this story on our website.

DLN Life Science Projects on Displaly at Nordic Life Science Days in Malmö

The life science projects within the Centre for Digital Life got valuable exposure at the largest life science partnering event in the Nordic region earlier this month. The DLN team had brought leaflets, fresh off the press, to present six of the research projects more specifically. Read more and follow links if you are interested in creating a one-page leaflet for your project.

Dates not to miss

Apply for Exploratory Pre-Seed Grant - Deadline October 3rd

Novo Nordisk Fonden awards up to 500 000 DKK to support application-oriented research and to test new ideas that may lead to the development of new medical treatments, disease prevention, devices and diagnostic methods.

Chceck the call and see if this may be relevant for any of your projects.

Call for DLN Cross Project Activities - Deadline October 15th

The possibility of harvesting synergies between projects and exchange of competence is one of the benefits of being part of DLN. To stimulate this, we have made available resources to support cross-project activities. Examples of such activities could be exchange of competence, methods, small pilot projects, workshops, research visits etc. This is also a good opportunity to involve researchers and postdocs in the project.

For activities involving two DLN projects, up to NOK 50 000,- can be applied for, but additional NOK 20 000,- can be included for each additional DLN project involved.

Reproducibility and Data Reuse in Life Science - Watch the Seminar Here

Few of you had the chance to attend SciLifeLab's seminar on reproducibility and data reuse on 19. September. The seminar was highly relevant for several of the research projects in DLN and luckily, a video recording is available online for the foreseeable future. You may watch the seminar here, or follow SciLife lab's web pages for edited clips.

Upcoming workshops

Mini-Seminar in Metabolomics, Trondheim, 21. November

Getting your hands-on data management, Trondheim, 6.- 8. November
