Free Talks & Tours
Events during October Half-Term 2019 at George Marshall Medical Museum

Please note all events will take place at the George Marshall Medical Museum.
Find us in the Charles Hastings Education Centre, based on the site of Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
Monday 28 October

Free tours
11am to 11:45am, or
2pm to 2:45pm

Tours will last approximately 45 minutes and are suitable for all ages.
Please note we can take up to 15 on each tour, so it's best to call ahead to check there is space.

Free History Talk: The Bridgnorth Infirmary
5:30pm
Join Gillian Waugh Pead as she discusses her research about this Shropshire market town's infirmary. A 50-minute talk with time for questions at the end. You can also take the opportunity to purchase a copy of her fascinating book on the topic, and feel free to visit the Museum from 9am until 5:30pm on this day.

Free History Talk: War Worry
6pm to 6:30pm
How did the First World War affect the mental health of Worcestershire? Join Sarah Dentith as she discusses her current fascinating research topic. The talk will last about 30 minutes, with time for a few questions at the end. Feel free to enjoy our extended opening times on this day from 9am to 6pm.
Please let us know if you're coming.
If you are driving to us, we have a car park for visitors around the back of the Charles Hastings Education Centre. For daytime events, we cannot guarantee a parking space. Other parking is available on the main hospital site, or please consider public transport. There is a regular bus service between Worcester City Centre and the Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
