Jesus said a lot of things—a lot of interesting things. The Fourth Gospel, John, records many of these sayings of Jesus. From now until November 17 we will be studying and thinking about some of these curious statements about being born again, bread from heaven, living water, sheep and shepherds, and vines.

This year the ladies of the church will have the opportunity to participate in a Meaningful Christmas.  A Meaningful Christmas is a 24 day family advent devotional that starts with creation, goes through the entire Christmas story and ends by talking about Jesus' life! We are looking for 24 ladies who would like to participate by choosing one of the day’s devotions and creating 24 identical ornaments.  Then we will hold a swap party and exchange ornaments.  At the end everyone will go home with an entire set to go with their devotional book. 

To learn more information, please join us THIS Wednesday, September 25th at 5:00 for an informational meeting,  contact Vannessa Cutchin or the church office.  Slots will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.  Hope you will join us for this amazing experience!

Off Our Rockers

We had a great time at the Hill Country Community Theater this past Sunday watching the performance "More Senior Moments." I think there were quite a few relatable - and laughable - moments. We will be having many more trips and outings in the future including a painted church tour in November and again in the Spring.
 

Also don't forget the next Game Time will be Thursday, October 3rd at 1:30pm in the Fellowship hall. We meet on the first and third Thursday of each month for snacks, fellowship and lots of fun. Feel free to join us and bring your favorite game.
  • Urgent need:

The Helping Center, LACARE and Joseph's Pantry are in desperate need of protein.  Sam Pearce, executive director of the Helping Center, says the food pantries need tuna, canned meats and pinto beans as well as  pork n beans.

Please drop by the food pantry in your area this week and donate some of the items they need. 

-Donation baskets are located in front of the Fellowship Hall or you can take your donation directly to the Helping Center.
