Zlata paličica Festival
Ljubljana Puppet Theatre, Ljubljana (SI) | September 28th - October 6th 2019

Zlata paličica (Golden Stick) Festival is a Slovenian biennial festival of performing arts for children and young people, organised by Lutkovno gledališče Ljubljana (Ljubljana Puppet Theatre), Slovenski gledališki inštitut (Slovenian Theatre Institute) and the Cankarjev Dom Cultural and Congress Centre.

This year’s 18th edition of the festival is a Mapping festival and part of the nineteen festivals of Performing Arts for Early Years, organized in different European cities, that will host international productions for early years.

As Mapping activities, Zlata paličica will include seven different shows for early years audience and the first Movement Working Group workshop.

Artists Meet Early Years 2020 - Call for artists
Deadline: October 31st 2019

Artists meet Early Years offers to the artists the chance to meet early years right in the places where children belong to an educational community, crèches and kindergartens. There they can observe them, become more familiar with them, collect suggestions and images that can be useful to the development of a personal artistic research on the youngest ones.

La Baracca has issued the Call for next edition of this program, that will take place in the frame of Visioni 2020 festival – February 28th-March 8th.

WHAT IS MAPPING?
"Mapping. A Map on the Aesthetics of Performing Arts for Early Years"is a cooperation project supported by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union, starting from December 2018 until November 2022.
"Mapping" is an artistic research project focused on creating a sensory-based relationship with very young children, from 0 to 6 years old, through performing arts. In particular, it explores the idea of children-spectators of today and not only of tomorrow.
