Training for Parish Palliative Care Volunteers:
Do you feel called to visit the sick, terminally ill, dying and bereaved in your parish community? As a member of a Parish, you would represent your parish community by journeying with a person and being a loving support by listening, with some understanding of the challenges with which they may be coping, to ease the suffering and improve quality of life. Would your parish like to enhance the outreach ministry to include palliative care volunteer visits?

Book Launch: Still Unhealed
Sr. Nuala Kenny, SC has written a new book on the sexual abuse crisis in our Church. A book launch for, Still Unhealed: Treating the pathology in the clergy sexual abuse crisis, will happen on Thursday, October 3, at 6:30 in the Chapel Building at the Atlantic School of Theology. Dr. David Deane was also a contributing author to the book.

Care for Our Common Home: Amazonia Workshop Saturday October 5
Development and Peace - Caritas Canada will hold its annual fall workshop on the afternoon of October 5 from 2:00pm-4:00pm at St. Theresa’s Parish, 6351 North Street, Halifax. Refreshments will be served. All are welcome!

2nd Annual Empowered Catholic Conference for Men, October 4-5, 2019
The 2nd annual Catholic Men’s Empowered Conference being held in Halifax, at the Bella Rose Arts Center, is coming up soon. It will run from October 4-5, 2019 and registration is $75 per person to attend. The Empowered conference is a call to men to be challenged and grow in faithfulness to serve God, the Church, and especially their families.
