The residents enjoyed four fun-packed days of summer camp this past summer at Covenant Harbor in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin! The residents look forward to this experience every year, and we were blessed to have beautiful weather and an incredible time together.

The residents participated in a wide variety of different camp activities, including team-building games, swimming, boat rides, arts and crafts, wall climbing, paddle boat rides, and evenings around the camp fire.
One of the highlights this summer for the Joseph's House guys was a beautiful sunset cruise on Muskegon Lake aboard the Aquastar.

The Joseph's House guys love attending sporting events. Here they are at a recent Muskegon Clippers game. Play ball!

"We are very sad to learn of the passing of Jim Coslow. Jim was a great man and we admire his service and dedication to the Covenant denomination as a whole and to the Safe Harbor family specifically. He played a big part in helping Safe Harbor to strengthen its financials, helping to turn around the program  from periods of financial challenges to consistent balanced budgets in recent years and into the present. He and his wife, Barb, have served on a number of Covenant boards over the years, and we are extremely grateful for their service. Jim will truly be missed. We ask that you keep Barb and the rest of the Coslow family in your prayers during this difficult time.”
-- Ron Dixon, Vice President of Covenant Initiatives for Care

Greg retired from Goodwill this month after nearly 19 years of service! During his tenure, Greg was the go-to-guy for anything the facility needed, taking on a variety of positions and duties. Congrats on your retirement, Greg! We’re so proud of you.

Sarah volunteers once a week at DayBreak Adult Day Services. She offers companionship to her local senior community, playing games with the adults at DayBreak, doing crafts with them, and participating in Bible study. She also supports them by cooking meals and accompanying them on field trips.

Bill and Jeremy love to volunteer at In the Image, which provides clothing and shoes to people in need. Each week, Bill and Jeremy collect, sort, and prepare hangers to go onto the sales floor. Keep up the great work guys!

Angie is the definition of a dedicated volunteer. Every week for nearly 20 years, she has volunteered with the YMCA! She started volunteering at the Southeast YMCA and later the David D. Hunting YMCA in downtown Grand Rapids, after moving into Hope House.

Angie helps keep the facility clean, makes coffee for members and staff, and assembles informational folders for new members. What’s the best part of Angie’s day? The members and staff.
