Vote Health First Campaign
The federal election period is an ideal time to remind Canada's political parties that the federal government plays a crucial role in safeguarding Canadians’ health and well-being, no matter their location.
We need strong leadership to develop a comprehensive health care strategy in Canada. This strategy must take into consideration various forms of care, from prevention, to treatment, to end of life care with specific plans for fast growing groups including seniors, cancer survivors and people who live with chronic non-communicable conditions, like psoriasis.
That's why CPN is joining our community partners in other non-communicable disease areas to spread the word that health needs to be a priority this election.
Join us in spreading the word!
- Check out Vote Health First, an awareness campaign created to help Canadians have their voices heard regarding important health care issues surrounding the 2019 federal elections and beyond.
- Send a letter to your local candidate today telling them to make healthcare a priority this election. Take Action Now: Click here to send your letter from the customizable form. You can edit the letter to add a few lines about your experience with psoriasis and/or psoriatic arthritis.
- Join CPN and other patient groups either virtually or in-person for a conversation on Canada’s health care policy through the patient's perspective on Oct1st, 5:30pm EDT -7:30pm EDT https://bit.ly/2kuPkOj
Thanks to those of you who joined our first event back in June!

4th Annual Patient Health System Summit
If you're interested in learning more about how we can work together to make the health care system more responsive to patients, join the Canadian Psoriasis Network, Save Your Skin Foundation and the Schizophrenia Society of Ontario, and other patient groups for the fourth annual Summit, A Dose of Reality: Patients Redefining the Future of Health Care in Canada.
This year's Summit builds on the last three Summits which provided an unprecedented opportunity for patients, caregivers and patient representatives from diverse disease and disability groups to come together to discuss a shared vision for health care in Canada. We take a deeper-dive into the concepts of value-based health care and what they can mean to patient care. Limited travel grants are available for patients, caregivers and patient groups - more information on the registration page.
