Quilting Terms of the Month
Feed Dogs - On a sewing machine, feed dogs are metal teeth that rise out of the throat plate.
The feed dogs grip the underside of the fabric, helping to pull it through the machine and away from the needle. While feed dogs help your sewing projects progress, for freehand projects such as qppliqueing and sewing feathers, the feed dogs should be turned down or covered so that the quilter has more control over the speed and direction of the fabric
Intermediate Quilter - An intermediate quilter may have mastered more skills than a beginner or novice but still not to be ready for advanced quilting techniques. Some intermediate quilter skills inclue simple free-motion quilting, piecing, and needleturn applique work.

After sharing quilting for years, owners Gail and Roxy decided to start their own quilt shop in the beautiful town of Prescott, WI. Two Meandering Ladies strives to provide top-notch service, from start to finish on each quilt by offering quilting kits, longarm service, and classes and events. Whether you have just started quilting or have years of experience, Roxy and Gail are excited to share their love of quilting with you!
