                 As Year 12 students around NSW finish up their school year this week prior to sitting their final exams, we asked Michaela Antill-Cassie, the Youth and Young Adult Pastor at Roseville UC to give us a run down on Roseville Uniting Church's unique interaction with some of the students lucky enough to be a part of their HSC Lock-In progam.
Michaela says, "For the past few years during the October school holidays Roseville Uniting Church has hosted an HSC Study Lock-In, a program that aims to support Year 12 students prepare for their final exams in an inclusive Christian environment.
Throughout the week the students, who come from a number of the local high schools, engage in 7 hours of study a day (35 hours in total for the week) which is split into blocks of time allowing for 3 hour practice exams. " Michaela continues, "The students also have access to tutoring in core subjects provided by past students who have excelled in their HSC exams, young adults studying at university and past high school teachers and university lecturers. Other benefits of this program include being able to study alongside peers, sleep in your own bed at night and have delicious meals prepared by volunteers from the church."
 Michaela has included some feedback from past students which are all a resounding endorsement for this program:

Ourimbah Uniting Church will hold its service of closure on Sunday, 29th September, 2019 at 11.00 a.m.  Rev. Ann Hogan will preach, assisted by Rev. Neville Threlfall and Mr. Joe Kalou.
This will be a celebration of thanksgiving for 130 years worship and witness in Ourimbah and looking forward to new beginnings. 
The Tumbi Umbi Faith Community Church will commence on the following Sunday, 6th October.
All friends of Ourimbah Uniting Church are invited to attend.
The service will be followed by a celebration Fijian Feast.
