This week Sulis Fine Art presents a collection of mid 20th Century oil paintings by the artist Marie-Therese Ralli (1916-2010). Additionally, we are pleased to present a series of landscapes and coastal scenes by Chic D. Jack.
We also have new additions to our established Ronald Olley collection, and a fine selection of St. Ives School works in oil.
Ronald Olley studied at both the Harrow Art School and the Central School, London. These new additions cover a broad range of both subjects and medium, including figurative works and war-torn landscapes.
Marie-Therese Ralli was born in Belgium and studied at the Academie Royale des Beaux Arts. She continued her training with the artist Henri Logelain, moving first to London, then to Bristol.
These fine watercolours by the artist Chic D. Jack portray a strikingly raw interpretation of the natural landscape, with a clear focus on monolithic landmarks.
This remarkably fine selection of works in oil reflects the expressive impressionistic aspects of the St Ives School. The artist has created an emotive contemporary edge, with bold use of colour.
