This year as faith communities take initial steps to come together as a new parishes, the Assembly will focus on encouraging and supporting our work towards unity. In Saint John’s Gospel we witness an example of Jesus’ intentional prayer for his disciples, a prayer that all may be one (John 17.21). It is this same prayer that we pray as we come together for our Assembly to discuss and discern the renewal of the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth.
You have a part to play in this renewal. And good news is that you’re not alone in this role! We know there are many people at your parish that could use some encouragement, inspiration, and experiential formation. Invite them to join you at our Assembly.
Coming together at this event reminds us that we are all in this together and that together we will be stronger.
