Exploring Your Library
In London, in 1939, Ada Vaughn, a young woman with unusual dressmaker skills, dreams of a better life for herself.  That life seems to have arrived when Stanislaus, an Austrian aristocrat, sweeps Ada off her feet and brings her to Paris right before war breaks out.

To find out more, read 'THE DRESSMAKER'S WAR" written by Mary Chamberlain and join us on Tuesday, October 8th, as we discuss this mesmerizing, historical novel, a story of heartbreak, survival and ambition and the untold story of what happens to women during wartime.  Our library's copy is on our shelf ready to be checked out, so come on in....first come, first served.

New fiction books to be released at our library on October 1st are "THE SHAPE OF NIGHT"  written by Tess Gerritsen, "CILKA'S JOURNEY"  written by Heather Morris, the author of "The Tattooist of Auschwitz" and Patricia Cornwell's latest book, "QUANTUM," which will also be available here in Audio Book form.  Many more new materials are on order for the season when leaves begin to fall and days become crisper.

We had a fantastic kick-off to Discovery Club at the Baker Apple Orchard!  A fun-filled afternoon of touring the grounds, picking & tasting apples, learning the history of Big Ben and S'MORES that were donated by Deanna Wheeler and family.  Thank-you to Mr. Baker for your hospitality!  We will visit again!
