Ted Ross is CIO for the City of Los Angeles and General Manager of the Information Technology Agency (ITA). His department of 450 employees delivers enterprise IT services to 48,000 employees across 41 City departments and digital services to over 4 million residents. Appointed by Mayor Eric Garcetti in 2015, Ted has over 21 years of private and public sector technology experience, earning various awards along the way, including #1 Digital City, Top 25 Doer & Dreamer, and CIO of the Year according to LA Business Journal. Ted Ross will be speaking in the MOBI: The New Economy of Movement session.
Johannes Klepsch is Product Owner for DLT Consulting and Collaboration at BMW Group. In his role, he advises BMW departments for the adoption of blockchain use cases, and drives collaboration with stakeholders in the mobility ecosystem. Johannes holds a PhD in Mathematics from Technical University Munich. He has a background in data science and is excited by the opportunities decentralization brings to machine learning and mobility. Johannes Klepsch will be speaking in the Blockchain and Mobility Macrotrends session.
Jim Adler is the founding managing director of Toyota AI Ventures, and an executive advisor at Toyota Research Institute (TRI). He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Toyota Financial Savings Bank and the Investment Committee of JetBlue Technology Ventures, and he is a member of the Department of Homeland Security Data Privacy and Integrity Advisory Committee. Jim Adler will also be speaking in the Blockchain and Mobility Macrotrends session.

We're nearing the end of our Citopia hackathon for smart city infrastructure! If you're still interested in entering – you can submit a video outlining your blockchain solution to urban problems by the deadline and continue coding until November 12, MoCo Los Angeles, which will mark the end of the second phase of the MOBI Grand Challenge.
