CBH is committed to having the High Holy Days welcoming and inclusive and safe.  There will be heightened security with an increased presence of the Davis Police on campus for our activities during this period.
You will need to have your your ticket with you to enter campus. Greeter tables will be set-up in three locations:

1) between the office and the social hall;
2) the walkway between the social hall and the sanctuary; and
3) the sidewalk between the north portable and the Gan Haverim play yard.

Please go to one of the three greeter tables to show your ticket and to obtain a badge holder for your ticket. You will need to have your ticket visible throughout the day and the ushers will check it again upon entering the sanctuary or social hall.

Also, new this year there are no large bags allowed into services, including back packs and purses, with the exception of diaper bags.

Volunteers are still needed for for the High Holy Days!  Start the new year off performing a mitzvah and volunteer to be a Greeter or an Usher (or both)!

We still need as many as eight Rosh HaShanah Ushers and three Greeters.  For Yom Kippur there are twelve available opportunities to help as an Usher and five as a Greeter.

Please sign up Ushers and Greeters and help make this a warm and welcoming New Year at CBH.

The Education & Youth Department was delighted to welcome back our Religious School teachers, madrichim (teen teaching assistants), children, and parents with our annual Blessings & Beginnings Rosh Hashanah program.  Participants had the opportunity to learn about shofar, study Torah, participate in a mock Tashlich ceremony, make round challah, enjoy apples and honey and create an Elul blessings banner.  A special thank you to the Upper Crust Bakery for their donation of the challah dough balls. Photos are courtesy of Larry Rabin, Hebrew & Religious School parent as well as EYC member.  Click the image to see a larger view, it's worth it!
