I hope you are well? We're super-excited that the great Gaza-Palestinian rights activist Yousef Aljamal will shortly be arriving in the United States to launch his nationwide "Palestine in Crisis" speaking tour!
 We have put onto this post on our website all the details we have so far of the public events Yousef will be appearing at while he's here. These go from White Plains NY to Washington DC, Richmond and Williamsburg VA, Madison WI, and Honolulu HI...
Details of additional public events in Atlanta, Milwaukee, and Portland OR (and also in many of the above-listed areas) will soon be added to the list on that web-page... So please check back often.
I hope that many of you are able to attend one or more of these events! And be sure to share this news with all the friends and networks you're in touch with in or near those cities.
I am delighted that, in conjunction with fine partners around the country, Just World Ed is able to bring this fresh, engaging, and informed voice from Palestine to communities around the United States. Yousef, who's a graduate of UNRWA schools in Gaza, is currently completing his PhD studies in Turkey. He will be speaking on the issue of Palestinian child detainees held in Israel's military prisons in the West Bank, on the ongoing crisis in Gaza, and on the Palestine Question more generally.

I also want to tell you about a great update we made to the blog on our website: You can now very easily print our the blog-posts from our website. If you're a print afficianado like me, you'll really value this capability.
To print out a blog post, look for the "Printfriendly" button on the right sidebar:
Then, after a couple of seconds, you'll get to the Printfriendly dashboard:
Once there, you have a number of great options to prepare your printout. Using the buttons at the top you can change the font size or the size of any images. Plus, if you hover over any element in the contents, it will become enveloped in yellow fuzz and if you just click there, that whole element (text block or image) will be deleted from what you print... If you make a mistake, just hit "Undo" at the top.
Once you have the printout version you want, you can print or email it, or make yourself a PDF to save.
I love this! I think it makes the amazing educational resources we have on the blog even more useful to everyone.
By the way, if you haven't checked the blog out much recently, you really should!

 Finally, just a quick update on the Gaza5K run I told you about in my last email. It was tough going-- I wasn't nearly as ready as I thought I was. But it was such a fun, community-building experience! It was organized by UNRWA-USA to raise money to support the much-needed mental-health programs that UNRWA runs in Gaza... and also, to "show Palestinian refugees that many Americans care about their plight."
I did the run in just over 46 minutes-- and came in first (out of 15) in the "Over-60s females" division. They even gave me a medal!!!
Big thanks to those of you supported my running effort! If any of the rest of you want to laud my amazing accomplishment (!), then I gather that my fundraising page with UNRWA-USA is still open and accepting donations.
