Something to Crow About is an exhibit featuring 20 current members of the Burns Visual Arts Society (BVAS), an artists’ cooperative located in Ramsay which provides affordable studio space for working artists. This eclectic exhibit includes works in diverse media: drawing, painting, assemblage, printmaking, fibre, and paper mache. To celebrate 40 years BVAS members set out to raise their profile within the Ramsay and Inglewood communities through a series of “art attacks” featuring crows. These events have been captured in a video that will debut at this upcoming exhibit.

Opening Reception: Friday, October 18, 5-9 pm
& Saturday, October 19, 2-5 pm
There's been a whole month of ghostly stories!

Gather 'round the campfire one last time and listen to tales of ghosts and ghouls, the fantastic and the macabre. Each of the artists has written a short story to go along with new work inspired by a ghost story, folk tale or urban legend. All of this is collected in a storybook, available at the show.

So come out for one last look at the unique gallery experience, Ghost Stories YYC. Volume 1 will be closing and this will be the last time to see all of the work and stories created by some of the top artists in Calgary.

Attendees are encouraged to dress as their favorite ghost, folk legend, or monster.
