Compassion y paciencia
Hola Raza, Gente, Familia-
First and foremost--breathe. Deep breaths--como Rogelio in Jane the Virgin--Inhala...Exhala. Otra vez. You got this. We got this. There is so much information..and yet, seems like not enough info at the exact same time. There is so much time and yet, seemingly not at the same time. We are in community--even when practicing social distancing and social isolation. And remember, that we live out our humanity in community. When and how seems more challenging now than in the past, but we are and we will continue to rise to the occasion. Never doubt it.
En Chicano and Latino Studies, aqui estamos y no nos vamos. We are strong and resilient. We reach out to you and you reach out to us, to your peeps, to community. Know that you are not alone. Somos fuertes y venimos de raizes fuertes. Now is the time for creativity and compassion and patience.
Be kind to yourself. Make good decisions about personal health and hygiene and we emerge stronger because of it.
Siempre adelante,
Chicano and Latino Studies
