Hey <<First Name>>!

Here are a few things USASA Clubs & Societies have to share with you:

Verse Magazine featured USASA Club, AYCC in edition 31. Read about what they do.

"The Australian Youth Climate Coalition (AYCC) is Australia’s largest youth-run organisation. Our mission is to build a movement of young people leading solutions to the climate crisis!

Our vision is for a just and sustainable world, with a safe climate for our generation and future generations to come. We believe the only way to solve the climate crisis is through a social movement led by young people; standing in solidarity with those on the frontlines of climate change; empowering our community; inspiring change; and holding the decision makers of our community to account.

We work side by side with our sister organisation, Seed, which is Australia’s first Indigenous youth climate network. Together, we run grassroot campaigns that fight for climate justice."

Here's what's On

In edition 30, Verse Magazine's Comms & Digital Editor, Geena Ho caught up with the Rainbow Club to see what’s been going on.

"Rainbow Club has certainly come a long way since their establishment in 2011. Back then, the club operated as more of a social gathering for queer and gender diverse students alike. Nowadays, they’re one of the most active clubs on campus who aim to promote a safe and inclusive environment for students of diverse sexual orientation, gender identity, and biological sex.

Could you start off by telling us some of your goals for the future of Rainbow Club? What do you hope to achieve over the coming years?

Recently, we’ve been doing significant work with staff members to improve what university offers queer students. Our goals are to establish an Ally Network, an autonomous queer space, and a USASA Board representative. That’s just the tip of the iceberg for us though."
