BUSY WEEKEND FOR OUR ARROWMEN

This past weekend we had our Fall Gathering & Induction at Mays Scout Ranch. We inducted about 80 new ordeal members and tested two members for brotherhood.

The Arrowmen worked on making the trails safer for the rangers to drive on and to clean up Mays Scout Ranch.

After the ceremonies we had a great time with TRAILER-o-kee using the side of our new trailer.

To our newest members make sure you visit your chapter meetings tonight if they are having one and make sure to come out in October to Bear Creek to watch our newest Vigil Honor members get called out, it is a ceremony you have to see!! EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION ENDS OCTOBER 7th, so register now for the best price!!

Are You New to the Order of the Arrow?

AMERICAN INDIAN AFFAIRS (AIA) MEETINGS
AIA meets every Thursday except the first Thursday of the month at the OA Building on McGimsey Scout Park from 7PM to 8:30PM. Any member who is interested in learning more about OA ceremonies, Native American songs, dance, and crafting are invited to come. We always have members there who would love to meet you and show you more about our organization!

VIGIL WORK DAY

In order to have the best Vigil Induction weekend we need to do some work on the Goodman Ring at Bear Creek. Come up and help!! We will be meeting at the Goodman Ring at 8AM on Sunday October 6th. Bring your lunch and also work gloves, chainsaws, hard rakes, bow saws, lopers and personal protective equipment if you have any to use. SEE YOU THERE!

ORDEAL MEMBERS: Has it been 6 months since you have gone through your ordeal? Are you ready to reaffirm your commitment to the Order of the Arrow? Our next Brotherhood walk will be at the Fall Fellowship in October. Don't let the word "testing" scare you off! Please let your members know about the Fall Gathering & Vigil Induction coming up October 18-20. If the members of your chapter have any interest in being part of the fellowship weekend by helping out in the kitchen or helping out with ceremonies have them send me an email at the email address below and I will make sure they get in touch with the right person! We want everyone to feel welcome to participate and have fun at our weekends.

Also remember if your chapter has any information or is doing something and you want to share with the Lodge, let me know and we will get it in the Spark for you!

FALL FELLOWSHIP & VIGIL INDUCTION WEEKEND
Friday, October 18, 2019 at 7:00pm to Sunday, October 20, 2019 at 11:00am
At Fall Fellowship, members have the opportunity witness the call-out and induction of the members elected for Vigil Honor. Will be held at Bear Creek Scout Reservation. Those members who have been an ordeal member for at least 6 months will also have an opportunity to become Brotherhood members.
