Have a great week, Eagles!

There are less than 2 weeks left to turn in your ECC donation!

Only 46% of students have donated... we can do better than that!!
Even a $5-$10 donation will help your child's class get closer to 100% participation.

Mrs. Fazio's class is in 1st Place with 86% of the class donating, Ms. Stitt is in 2nd Place with 75% participation, and Ms. Hsu's class is close behind in 3rd place with 73%!

We need EVERYONE to contribute to the Everyone Counts Campaign, at whatever level you are able!  100% of this money stays right here at McAlpine, and all donations are tax deductible.

Fall 2019 Book Fair - Volunteer Sign Up

There is SNOW much to read at our Arctic Adventure Book Fair!

Book Fair is officially open! There are several ways to participate and support McAlpine:
* Shop before school, from 7:15 am - 8:00 am
* Visit with your child during their preview and/or buy days (check with your child's teacher if you're not sure when)
* Shop the online fair from the comfort of your home
Volunteer! We have spots that need to be filled, especially on preview days (Monday and Tuesday) to help the younger grades fill out their wish lists. This is an easy thing to do, especially if you are already planning to visit the Fair with your child.

Remember, every purchase supports our kids, their classmates and their teachers by providing access to books and encouraging a love for literacy.

Contact Amy Paridy with any questions - agrangeia@gmail.com. Thank you!

October is National Bullying Prevention Month, a time to focus and raise awareness on bullying. Students are encouraged to wear orange every Monday this month.

Please email your Fall Family Fun Night pictures to yearbookmcalpine@gmail.com! We would love to include them and they lose quality if downloaded from Facebook. Thank you!!
Thank you to everyone who made Fall Family Fun Night a success by volunteering and/or donating! If you are missing a plate, tent, cooler, or other item, please stop by the front office this week to collect them.

The PTO would like to give a special shout-out to our Assistant Principal, Mrs. Bentley, as well as our wonderful custodian, Ms. Yanci, for all of their help Friday night at FFFN.  These two ladies went above & beyond to help make the night a success, from start to finish.  The clean-up would not have been possible without Mrs. Bentley & Ms. Yanci's late-night help.  Whether it was reuniting a child separated from their mom or dad, locating lost keys and shoes, or mopping up spills in the hallways, Mrs Bentley helped to make the night a success by being willing to pitch in, always with a smile on her face!  Thank you!!
Countries Club would like to invite parents to speak during our club time this year.  We are learning about countries around the world.  Lessons should be geared toward K-2 students in our club and would only be 30 minutes long.  This would take place on a Friday from 1:50-2:30 PM.  Please contact Ms. Hsu for more details: andrea.hsu@cms.k12.nc.us. Thank you!
