Bonfire regulations update

Sutton council sought to ban all bonfires from allotment sites throughout the year. Thankfully due to the vigorous response from all the site reps (Tom & Silvia in our case), they were talked down from this blanket ban. 

Whilst there is not to be a ban enforced at this time the allotment site representatives have come up with a set of guidelines that, if followed, should reduce the chance of this happening in the future.

We will post the Good Bonfire Guidelines around the site.

Essentially; please be extremely considerate when burning material, keep fires small and contained, do not leave any fire unattended.

We fully understand that there is les and less opportunity to burn waste material but these regulations are imposed on the site by the council, rather than being our idea!
