zWORKS member makes safety cool
Safety is the new black and Jordan Hollingsworth knows it. He’s making work environments safer one project at a time.

It all started with a seasonal college job with a utility company. Sometimes it’s not about what you know, it’s about who you know, and Hollingsworth met someone in the safety management department. That person became his mentor and the rest is history.

Over a decade later and Hollingsworth has been working at Safety Management Group for 12 years.

One of his first projects was working on the Indianapolis Airport when it was being built in 2007. He also has worked on projects like the Hamilton Town Center and the Conrad in downtown Indy.

Pitch Night Win Adds to Tech Startup's Growth

ZIONSVILLE - The chief executive officer of Evansville-based SafeKeeping says the tech startup's win last week at the inaugural zWORKS Pitch Night in Zionsville is another step in its growth trajectory. The company, which provides a communication and collaboration platform for long-term care facilities, took the top prize in the competition, which includes a year of office space at the zWORKS coworking space. Doug Wilcox says the startup launched its platform in July 2018 and is working to expand its footprint.

Natural disasters are unavoidable, and elderly individuals, especially those in long-term care facilities, are particularly at risk during and after these events. Powerful hurricanes, such as the recent Hurricane Dorian, can seriously displace residents of long-term care facilities. During these times, family members and loved ones are faced with anxieties and uncertainties when it comes to resident care and wellbeing.
