ASPI Founders would like to express our deepest condolences for Dr. Gerald Chodak's family, friends, and patients.

From the ASPI Founders...

Howard Wolinsky is an original founder of ASPI. Howard just lost a great friend and 40yr associate in Dr. Gerald Chodak. This obituary is a tribute to a visionary in Active Surveillance. Gerry was a starter in the sea change that is happening now in Active Surveillance for all Prostate Cancer Patients.

Mark Lichty is an original founder of ASPI. It is with great sadness that we share with you the passing of a member of our Iceland planning team, Dr. Gerry Chodak was a giant in the field of Active Surveillance, He was ahead of his time.

Gene Slattery is an original founder of ASPI. Gene appreciates the dedication that Gerry showed towards putting together the best speakers worldwide while on the Iceland Conference Committee. He worked tirelessly for 8 months prior to the event cancellation. Afterward, Gene followed Gerry on US Too's Newsletters, Gerry summarized all the articles and gave a patient's quick interpretation of each of them. His summations were very understandable and down to earth. Gerry will be missed by many and God will certainly have some great discussions with him about Prostate cancer and Active Surveillance.
