We have a tremendous musical line-up for you on Thursdays at Karamel this month. The Philip Clouts Quartet (11/10) bring their African-inspired groove to go along with our African themed exhibition, BBC Young Jazz Musician of the Year finalist Noah Stoneman (16/10) curates his free monthly jam on Wed 16th October, bringing together emerging talent, sharing the stage and creating a great sound, followed by Qrquestra Mahatma (17/10) performing their uniquely eclectic repertoire of jazz-world music from across the globe. Tim Whitehead Quartet (24/10) kick off their Winter Tour at Karamel with guest artist Giovanni Mirabassi on keys. We finish October off with Tomorrow's Warriors presenting double bassist Gabrielle Carberry (31/10). Grab your early bird music tickets at a fiver each HERE.
Poetry and Poppadoms (18/10) headliner Kat Francois received a five star review at the Camden Fringe Festival. Along with Abi Morgan and Joshua Seigal on the roster, and an optional vegan Thali, this won't be one to miss. Booking is essential to avoid disappointment!

Presenting the work of Esther Serrano, a Spanish artist based in London, people places. Recently, she has become a member of the Muswell Hill Photographic Society, and won the Mike McCarthy Photographic Award 2016 for Art in Nature.
Esther is running two one-day MASTERCLASSES IN PHOTOGRAPHY.
On Monday 14 October (beginners) or Saturday 19 October (experienced) you could have the chance to "Ditch the auto and create amazing shots using manual settings on your camera" in particular, white balance, aperture, shutter speed, ISO, manual focusing and how to get the best settings for portraits, wildlife, sports, etc. £30 PER PERSON PER DAY.

Cape Town-born pianist/composer Clouts’ South African roots have inspired a voyage of discovery that has led to him soaking up the joyful passion of Caribbean calypso. Joined by rising star saxophonist Samuel Eagles, bassist Tim Fairhall and drummer Jack Yardley, he brings his musical journey alive with superb musicianship and infectious vigour.

Tim Whitehead Quartet

Opening gig of Winter Tour 2019/20 - This brilliantly accomplished quartet, with international award winning Italian pianist Giovanni Mirabassi, started in 2006 with recording and touring ‘Lucky Boys’ and has evolved to include Tim Whitehead’s ‘Personal Standards 2’ including tunes written by both he and Giovanni, together with their own interpretations of contemporary and classic standards.

The month ends on Thursday 31 October with the amazing hothouse Tomorrow's Warriors presenting Gabrielle Carberry double bassist.
Gabby Carberry has been attending Tomorrow's Warriors
for several years, receiving mentorship from Binker Golding, Alex Davis, Aleksandra Topczewska and Gary Crosby.
She was selected to study at Jazz House Kids Summer Workshop in 2017 and was the house bassist for last year’s Tomorrow’s Warriors Rich Mix Jams. Gabby is currently a member of Fidelio Orchestra who have just returned from a tour to Rome.
Now in her third year of study at Trinity Laban where she studies jazz under Steve Watts, her roots were firmly
planted in classical music during her time at
the Purcell School and she spent her first year of undergraduate studying with Colin Paris at
Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
For this performance, she shall be appearing with a new ensemble with a mixture of jazz standards and originals.
