7 Signs from the Gospel of John

In His generosity, God gives us everything we need for physical and spiritual nourishment.
Join us this Sunday as we explore the 4th Sign in the Gospel of John, the Feeding of the 5,000. (John 6:1-14)

The feeding of the 5,000 represents both the manna that came from Heaven while the Israelites wandered in the desert for forty years and faith in Jesus. It is also a sign of the Last Supper. It represents the covenant that Christ’s sacrifice on the cross is God’s provision for the world’s salvation.
Remember to pick up your weekly study guide form the information rack in the Narthex. This is for your own personal study or to be used at our Home Groups.

ACNA 2019 Book of Common Prayer Blessing

From the oldest to the youngest, last Sunday's New Prayer Book Blessing was a joyous occasion. Holding each BCP upward as Fr. Craige prayed the blessing was a powerful reminder of our rich traditions and faithfulness to worshiping God personally and as a part of the Anglican Community.

We are very thankful for the donor who gave this gift for parishioners of CSP to use for many years to come.

Last Sunday, the children in KidZone experienced Jesus' Healing at the Pool on the Sabbath. You may have spotted them around the CSP campus with their beds rolled up and walking, just as Jesus had instructed the sick man.

This Sunday, the children will enter the MegaZone to see Jesus' perform his 4th sign, Feeding of the 5000 with two little fish and five loaves of barley bread. We will be experiencing this miracle KidZone Style!

Unity in the Community

Special Request from our friend and fellow Anglican, The Rev. Matthew Rivers from St. John's Chapel in Charleston

In a letter we received from Fr. Matthew, he shares a vision of his desire to help the residents in the East side community who are asking for help to live in safety and unity. " St. Johns family, my wife and I have heard the cry from our church community, and we are willing to put stake in the ground to answer the crisis."

They are planning a fundraiser to aid in providing Ring security cameras for residences within the community. This initiative partners with Charleston Police Department.

A Unity in the Community Barbeque is scheduled form November 2, from 3-7pm at St. John's Chapel at 18 Hanover Street.
See Flyer for more information and for tickets.

Fr. Matthew is asking for our prayers and monetary donations. "We need all prayer warriors on deck to support this effort." Secondly, he realized that not everyone in his community can afford to purchase a ticket for the BBQ. He is asking the CSP family to purchase 10 tickets at $20.00 each to be given away to residents in need. Lastly, they are seeking donors for some of the cameras to be installed. The cost of the cameras are $260.00. Could we purchase two for them?

If you would like to help, please make checks payable to CSP marked for St. John's Chapel.
