The Gala Committee is hard at work to prepare for this entertainment extravaganza!!!  Please allow me to illustrate the larger mission of Star of the Day.
 
This last year has been a difficult year for Star of the Day as we have weathered many obstacles.  We cannot express how much we have appreciated how you have rallied around Star of the Day to make the 2019 season possible.  Your continued participation allow us to provide quality shows. 
 
We are seeing an upturn and the sun is shining on Star of the Day once again.  We are excited to see you at the Gala but we need your help to make this the biggest, grandest one yet!
 
Although Star of the Day is gaining positive momentum, the organization needs your help. Did you know shows are done at minimal and often no cost to the actors.  Ticket sales only cover a small percentage of the costs involved with a high-quality production.  As we settle into our permanent space, we want to make sure that we create a full theater atmosphere that makes people want to come back for more and to fully embrace the hard work that was put into creating a magical experience.  This makes our fundraising needs a major priority for the group.
 
Although the Gala is an entertainment extravaganza,
IT IS A MAJOR FUNDRAISING EFFORT FOR STAR OF THE DAY.
 
I am sure that you can shut your eyes and think about what Star of the Day has meant to you:
·        Many of you have discovered a talent that was waiting to be released
·        Many of you have come back to the stage to do what you love
·        Many of you have had your “big break” and found that moment on the stage
·        Many of you have laughed and cried with us when you needed to most
·        Many of you have had a night of entertainment to forget the world for a moment
·        Many of you have found a place where you fit
·        And ALL of you have been embraced by the SOTD family that loves you!
 
WE NEED YOUR HELP TO PAYBACK THE FEELS!
 

I hope that you will be joining us the evening of the Gala!  This is a night to celebrate, reconnect with old friends,meet new friends, be entertained, buy raffle tickets, be present as Star of the Day announces the next season, and support a group that has supported us.  

The deadline for purchasing tickets is Wednesday, November 6, 2019 or until they are sold out. 

Please consider these ways in which to purchase your tickets:
  • SINGLE TICKETS: $35 per person (Includes appetizers, dessert, live entertainment)
  • FAMILY SPONSORSHIP:  This sponsorship category is a way to give a little bit extra back to Star of the Day.  It does come with 4 tickets to the Gala and cost $250 and a special 2020 Gift. ($100 tax deductibel)

Star of the Day, All That Glitters 5th Anniversary Gala & 2020 Season Reveal
 

Meet Our 2020 Gala Honoree

Star of the Day Productions is pleased to announce that on Saturday, November 16, 2019, it will honor its esteemed music educator and sound engineer Chris Hamm at the All That Glitters 5th Anniversary Gala and 2020 Season Reveal.

Mr. Hamm has been an important member of the Star of the Day’s staff since 2012. His contributions to the organization’s growth include sound design for the monthly Spotlight Cabarets and every theatrical production since October 2012.  He has also helped create music curriculum for the company’s Summer Spotlight Academy’s music education program. He has acted as a mentor for Star of the Day’s teen apprentice program and has musically directed each season. Chris is also a gifted vocalist and musician.

Outside of Star of the Day, Mr. Hamm is a music educator in Lehigh and Berks counties as well as an active member in the arts community throughout the valley. 

“We are so fortunate to have supporters like Chris in our organization, who care about the health of the arts in the community.” says Kirsten Almeida, Artistic Director at Star of the Day.

In acknowledgment of his exemplary commitment to the arts in the Lehigh Valley, Star of the Day is delighted to bestow upon Mr. Hamm the organization’s singular honor for 2019.

Past honorees include: The Reverend Dr. Paul Knappenberger (Pastor St. John’s UCC Emmaus/Arts Advocate), Mark Marina (Musician/Realtor – Weichert Realtors), Dirk Leisher (Set Construction/Arts Advocate), Alexis Leon (Stage Manager/Performer/Mentor/Arts Advocate/Scholar).

Every year Star of the Day raises critical revenue through Gala ticket sales, program advertisements, sponsorships, contributions, and the proceeds from a raffle. These funds are used to further the organization’s mission of entertaining, educating, and encouraging the community through music, theatre, and dance and offering scholarships for college and summer educational programs.
