TxCAN is excited about the launch of financial aid season and our TxCAN Financial Aid Campaign. As part of our efforts to support FAFSA/TASFA completion in Texas and to help our partner districts prepare for the new mandatory FAFSA requirement on the horizon, TxCAN will be hosting a Financial Aid Launch Week October 21st - 25th with a variety of in person and virtual training opportunities. We will also offer other training events throughout the year so, please be on the lookout for those.  

TxCAN, in partnership with Region 19 ESC and Up Partnership, is bringing national financial aid training organization, uAspire to El Paso and San Antonio for  FREE financial aid training session, FAFSA Completion. 

 Lunch will be provided! You don't want to miss the amazing opportunity!

These hands-on sessions are open to all!  The FAFSA COMPLETION training is described as a session that helps participants master this crucial financial aid form by practicing complex scenarios, learning to complete the financial section with confidence, and gaining best practices for working with special student populations.
 
 
After this session you will be equipped to:

• Determine whether a student is considered independent or dependent, and whom to report as the parent(s)
• Complete the financial sections for different family financial situations
• Identify key resources to support accurate FAFSA completion
