School Site Council Meeting

Tuesday, October 15 - Room 205
The School Site Council (SSC) is the major part of the overall decision-making structure at our school. Their primary role is to guide the Site Planning Process to ensure that the needs of all students are specifically addressed in the School Site Plan. In addition, the School Site Council oversees the site-based budgeting of categorical funds.
Everyone is invited to participate in this decision-making process at SSC meetings. If you'd like to attend but need help with childcare please email.

Friday, October 18, 8:30am-9:15am, Room 209
This month HMCRA will have its very first meeting of the Rainbow Club. Rainbow Clubs are Elementary School versions of a GSA (Gender Spectrum Alliance) used nationwide. This year, Ms. Butler will be hosting and organizing a monthly Rainbow Club for LGBTQ+ students, LGBTQ+ families and all allies. The meetings will be held on the third Friday morning of the month, from 8:30am-9:15am in Room 209. The first meeting will be this Friday, October 18th!
Each meeting will have time for students and families to play and connect, a read aloud, and an activity or action. Rainbow Club is open to all LGBTQ+ students and families, as well as student allies. Students may come without their families, but families are always welcome to join. Please email Ms. Butler with any questions: butlerk@sfusd.edu.

Thursday, October 31, 2:30pm
Come and join Harvey Milk’s annual costume parade around our neighborhood. Due to space restrictions as a result of the construction we will not have the usual celebration in the yard following the parade. Instead, individual classes may choose to organize their own celebration in their classroom. Siblings are welcome to participate and costumes are optional. Please take a moment and read our Halloween Costumes and Stereotype Biases guidelines before finalizing any costumes.
