MINISTRY TO STATE NEWS

MTS UPDATES

A good time was had by all!

Recently, almost 50 Hill and agency staffers, interns, and others joined us for dinner, discussion, and dessert with Rep. John Moolenaar (MI-#4) and author Chuck Garriott to discuss the book "Love & Power" and the importance of gospel-centeredness in an environment that often breeds self-centeredness.

Throughout the evening we reflected on the special role that Christians have as salt & light in the various contexts where they find themselves, and how that often involves seeking to serve rather than be served.

Impeachment inquiries. Obstruction accusations. Foreign policy issues. Legislative agendas. 2020 election polling. Economic indicators. Office staffing.

Family matters. Health concerns. Workplace relationships. Financial pressures. Career trajectory. Future planning.

Welcome to Tuesday!

The list of things that demand our attention seems as endless as it is diverse.

Bills need to be marked up, position papers need to be read, summaries need to be written, and decisions need to be made. The trouble is, the decision we are faced with is not the decision we had hoped we would be making. But it’s what there is.
